Moab-Jed's pictures NEEDS PICTURES

I'm putting this post here so later it can be edited (whenever someone gets around to uploading them) and Jed's pictures can be loaded and show up in order by date (do you call that sequential order? not sure....)

Moab! October 10-13, 2012

Mary and Jed announced months ago they were planning on going to Moab over Fall break. Luckily, fall break for almost everyone happened to be at the same time, and was the week before UEA!
Unfortunately, not everyone could make it since BYU-Idaho doesn't get fall break :(, Jessie and Joe got their house the week before and stayed home and work on it, and Patrick doesn't coordinate with anyone's schedule so Cami and Derrick stayed home also.

In the days (and weeks) leading up to fall break, Jed put a lot of time into the adoption of the newest family member!
Boy was he a beauty...however, after the vacation it got traded in for a less-used "new" car ;)

Jed has many pictures on his camera, but here are some pictures from Brian's camera. It was fun!
Hike to double-arch

Lee! Don't fall for it...it's a dead end!

We made it!

Assembling for a family picture on the tree. Pretty sure we got an epic picture, but once again, it's on Jed's camera.

Erin the happy hiker!

Hiding from the boys who were being uber-slow due to them experimenting with their cameras

Don't look Livi...looks like a spider to me!

We ran to see another arch while we were waiting for the boys to catch up.

Another picture? Really?

Here's that wonderful jeep

Silouette rock

Ooh...LOVE THIS!

Cute girls

Brian

This is the little canyon we camped in. The first night we stayed at this campground (2nd night in Moab), it rained so hard all these little waterfalls formed. One waterfall came right down by our tent!

Here come the flash floods...we were amazed hoe many waterfalls-and mudfalls-formed when it started raining. We had left Mary back at the hotel and couldn't get back to her for a couple hours because the road got blocked with mud and had to be cleared. It was BEAUTIFUL though! I am so glad I got to see Moab like this!

This is a picture of the parking lot for our campground. Boy were we glad we moved our car before the rain came down hard! The cars got stuck and had to wait for a ranger to come and pull them out after it had dried up.
 Foam from rushing water/currents

Since it was raining, no one wanted to hike so we drove out to Dead Horse Point.

 Jed the photo man

I'm not quite sure what we were doing....maybe we were riding our horses at this point? If so, maybe we shouldn't do that anymore. Not the most attractive pictures! lol

We also did Delicate Arch, but Brian didn't take his camera there. All in all, it was a wonderful trip! I hope Jessie, Joe, Cami, Derrick, Patrick, Nora, Daniel, and Jared can come next time :)
